Chapter One
ABOUT JESUS
He is altogether lovely.
Song 5:16
His name shall be called
Wonderful, Counselor,
the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father,
the Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6
He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon Him;
and with His stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:5
A voice from Heaven said,
This is My beloved Son, in whom I Am delighted.
Matthew 3:17
You are the Christ (Messiah)
the Son of the Living God.
Matthew 16:16
The Word (Jesus) was with God in the
beginning
and the Word was God.
Everything was made by Him
and nothing was made without Him.
He brought Light and Life to men,
and darkness cannot stop this Light from shining.
John 1:1-4
The Word became flesh and
lived a little while with us,
and we saw the glory of God's only Son,
full of love and truth.
John 1:14
We believe and know that
You are the Holy One of God.
John 6:69
He is exactly like God who is unseen.
He is before and above all creation.
He made everything, both seen, and unseen,
in Heaven and on earth
---thrones, dominions, rulers and powers---
everything was made by Him and for Him
and He holds it all together.
