CITY IN THE SKY - Chapter Eleven

 

THE JUDGMENTS OF GOD

     SPACE

Orbit five from the sun is filled with asteroids indicating that a planet there was broken in pieces.  Craters on Mars, on the moon and on the earth, indicate that something in space blew up.

     EARTH

The earth was without form, void and dark.
This indicates judgment.
Gen.1:2
God told Adam to replenish the earth.
Gen.1:28

     FLOOD

God saw that the wickedness of man
was great on the earth.
Gen.6:5
God brought upon the world
of the ungodly.
2Pet.2:5

     BABEL

The city and the tower is called Babel
because God did there
confound the language of all the earth
and from there did the Lord
scatter them abroad
upon the face of all the earth.
Gen.11:9

     SIN   (Crucifixion, first coming of Jesus)

He (Jesus) had done no violence,
yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him,
when He made His soul an offering for sin.
He (Jesus) has poured out His soul unto death,
and He bore the sin of many.
Isaiah 53:9-12

     WRATH    (The Day of the Lord, second coming)

The wrath of the Lord
is revealed from the sky
against all ungodliness and unrighteousness.
Rom.1:18

     FINAL    (1000 years later)

The devil is put in the lake of fire.
Rev.20:10

NOTE:  The day of wrath and GREAT Tribulation will be the greatest judgment since earth was created and that will ever be ---- greater than the flood, and greater than the events at the end of the 1000 years when satan is banished.
