CITY IN THE SKY - Chapter Fifteen

 

TIMES, DATES, SEASONS AND SIGNS
 

Many look to the Day of the Lord as: doomsday, wrath of God, end of the world, trouble, sorrow, antichrist, tribulation, armageddon and the reign of the beast.  It is all of this but...

Saints look to the Day of the Lord as: the dawning of eternal day, the glorious appearing of Jesus, the resurrection, the rapture, the wedding feast, and a glorious day of victory.

The Day of the Lord is near, and God will not change His mind even tough Moses and Samuel prayed (Jer.15:1), or Noah, Daniel and Job (Eze.14:14-16).  You have a choice -- repent, be filled with the Spirit of God and escape to life everlasting, or remain unrepentant, unbelieving, and perish in the second death forever.
 

We know not the day and hour, but we know because the Jews are in Israel, that His coming is near --- even at the door!  Mat.24:32-39

Feasting, drunkenness and marriage violations are a sign that the end is very near.  Luke 17:26-30.

When you see warring nations and kingdoms, earthquakes and famines --- God's kingdom is near.  Luke 21:29

When nations talk peace, the end is near.  1Thes.5:3

The last days are here!  Men blaspheme God, the Bible and saints.  Homosexuals are heady.  Worldliness has replaced godliness.  Sex has replaced kinship love.  Disobedience reigns.  2Tim.3:1-4

When men heap together gold and silver, the last days are here.  James 5:3

You can tell the weather by the sky, why can't you tell the times by the signs?  Mat.16:3

God told Noah a flood was coming.  Noah and his family believed, prepared and escaped.  Gen.6:13-18

God revealed to Abraham that He was going to destroy Sodom.  Abtaham prayed, but the homosexual city could not be saved.  Gen.18:17---19:28

Jeremiah tol the people of his generation that they would go into captivity, and that there was no escape from judgment.  He did not give the day and hour, but he let them know that the time was at hand.  Jer.25:9-11  34:2-3

He reveals the deep and secret things (even regarding the future) Dan.2:22

The end will e at the time appointed.  Dan.11:27

The Lord will do nothing without revealing His secret to His prophets.  Amos 3:7

It is given unto you to know the mysteries of God's kingdom of Heaven.  Mat.13:11  Lke.8:10

The Holy Spirit revealed to Simeon that he would not die until he had seen the first coming of Jesus.  Simeon did not know the day and hour, but he knew the time.  On the right day and hour the Spirit directed Simeon to the temple (Lke.2:27) where he saw Jesus.  Lke.2:25-32

He will show you things to come.  Jhn.16:13

The children of light will not be in the dark about the day of the Lord being near.  1Thes.5:4-5

When you see that the Day of the Lord is near, gather for encouragement more often.  Heb.10:25

If you do not watch, you will not know the hour of My coming.  Rev.3:3

Do not spend your time in feasting and drunkenness and worldly cares, or you will have heart trouble and not know when that day is near.  Lke.21:24

Your enemies will lay you even with the ground because you knew not the time.  Lke.19:43-44

HIS COMING IS NEAR --- THESE SIGNS CONFIRM IT
1/ Apostasy -- departing from sacred faith in God.
2/ Israel is a nation.
3/ The agressive spirit of antichrist in satanic worship and entertainment.
4/ Signs in the sun, moon, and stars.

The Day of the Lord is near.  Repent and believe the Gospel of Jesus.
