CITY IN THE SKY - Chapter Twenty One D

DAY OF THE LORD - ORDER OF EVENTS

D. HIS APPEARING

19/  SUDDEN APPEARANCE --- THE HOLY CITY WHICH CONTAINS GOD AND JESUS ON THE THRONE AND ALL THE DEPARTED SAINTS, SUDDENLY DISPELS THE DARKNESS AND APPEARS IN THE SKY OVER ISRAEL (year 3 1/2 Day of the Lord)

*****THIS IS THE DAY OF THE LORD*****

NOTE:  This will be a long day over Israel (about two days long) like Joshua's long day (Jsh. 10:12-14), consequently, a long evening, night and morning over other parts of earth.  (See Zec.14:3 & Isa. 28:21)

The Lord's throne is in the sky.
Psalm 11:4

Clouds and darkness
are around about Him...
all the people see His glory.
Psalm 97:1-6

I saw the Lord,
sitting on a throne,
high and lifted up.
Isaiah 6:1

The glory of the Lord
shall be revealed,
and all flesh
shall see it together.
Isaiah 40:5

Darkness shall cover the earth,
but the Lord shall arise upon thee (Israel).
Isaiah 60:2

The Son of man comes
as lightning shining
from east to west.
Mat.24:27

Hereafter you will see
Jesus sitting at God's right hand,
coming in clouds.

Watch----lest coming suddenly
He find you sleeping.

Jesus sits on the right hand of Power
and comes in clouds of the sky.

Jesus lights the sky like lightning
when He comes.

a bright Being upon it,

I saw a great white (with light) throne
and Him Who sat on it.

Holy City New Jerusalem
coming down from God
out of the 7th heaven

The throne of God and of the Lamb
shall be in it (The City in the sky).

19A - WHEN THE THRONE OF GOD APPEARS IT IS LIKE FIERY FLAME

Our God shall come...
a fire shall devour before Him.
Psalm 50:3

Righteousness and salvation
go forth as a bright burning lamp.
Isaiah 62:1

His throne is like fiery flame,
a fiery stream went forth before Him.
Daniel 7:9-10

Who shall stand when He appears
for He is like a refiner's fire.
Mal, 3:2

Jesus revealed in flaming fire.
2 Thes. 1:7-8

Our God is a consuming fire.
(The fire that consumes fire)

19B - THE DAY OF THE LORD --- 'iT IS COME, THIS THE DAY WHEREOF i HAVE SPOKEN'  Ezk.39:8

God will not hear
the prayer of the wicked
when destruction comes.
Proverbs 1:27-28

The end is come, behold it is come.

Thou hast forsaken Me
saith the Lord...
I am weary of repenting
(changing My mind).

The Day of the Lord
is great and very terrible:
and who can abide it?

It will catch all people
on the whole earth
like a trap.
(even those who expect it)

19C - THE 24 ELDERS WORSHIP AND THANK GOD FOR BEGINNING HIS ETERNAL REIGN OVER THE EARTH

The Lord reigns,
earth is moved.
Psalm 99:1

The Lord has prepared (established)
His throne in the skies:
His kingdom rules over all.
Psalm 103:19

The sun and moon are put to shame
when the Lord of hosts reigns gloriously
in Mt. Zion and in Jerusalem
above His ancient people.
Isaiah 24:23

The 24 elders worshipped God saying
We thank You because
You have begun to reign.
Rev. 11:15-17

God and His Son in clouds of the sky.
All people and nations serve Him.
His kingdom is everlasting.
Daniel 7:13-14

Every creature in sky and earth
worship saying,
Blessing, honor, glory and power
be unto Him Who sitteth upon the throne
and to the Lamb forever and ever.
(Praise God!)

In that day,
the Lord shall be King
over (above) all the earth.

19D - HE COMES TO JUDGE THE EARTH AND ITS PEOPLE

The Lord has prepared
His throne for judgment.
Psalm 9:7

He shall call to sky and earth from above
that He may judge His people.
Psalm 50:1-6

He comes to judge the earth
with righteousness
and the people
with His truth.
Psalm 96:10-13

The dead are judged.
Rev.18:18

Everyone is judged according to their works.
Rev.20:11-13

NOTE:  Please read carefully ---- the following events are very detailed and happen quickly.

20/  THE SEVENTH TRUMPET SOUNDS  (This is year 3 1/2 of the Day of the Lord,  8/ in chapter 21-Intro of this book is year one of the Day of the Lord.)

All ye earth dwellers
hear when He blows a trumpet.
Isaiah 18:3

In that day
the last trumpet shall be blown.
Isaiah 27:13 (Rev. 11:15

The Lord God will blow the trumpet.
Zec.9:14

He shall send His angels
with trumpet sound
to gather His elect.
Mat.24:31

At the last trump,
dead arise,
living are changed,
both to immortality.
1 Cor. 15:52

The Lord descends
with trump of God.
1 Thess. 4:16

A trumpet said, come up here.

20A - AT SEVENTH TRUMP, JESUS, ANGELS AND DEPARTED SAINTS DESCEND TO EARTH

Jesus sends angels to gather His elect.
(from all over the earth)
Mat.24:31

Jesus, who is taken up from you
to heaven
shall so come in like manner.
Acts 1:10-11

God brings departed saints
with Him from Heaven,
dead in Christ rise.
1 Thess. 4:14,16

The Lord Himself descends from the sky.
1 Thess. 4:16

20B - JESUS STANDS ON THE MOUNT OF OLIVES WHICH SPLITS NORTH AND SOUTH, MAKING A VALLEY EAST AND WEST, AND 144,000 JEWS ESCAPE FROM JERUSALEM, FROM ABOMINATION AND FROM ARMIES

NOTE:  This is the long day continued.

I know that my Redeemer liveth
and shall stand
in the latter day
upon the earth.
Job 19:25

(Rain)Bow Thy heavens, O Lord and come down
touch the mountains and they shall smoke.
Psa.144:5

Send Thine hand from above,
deliver me from great waters and from strangers.

The voice of my beloved!
skipping upon the hills.

When You did terrible things we looked not for,

the mountains flowed down at Your presence.

Shadows of evening stretched out.

His feet shall stand in that day
upon the mount of Olives east of Jerusalem.
It splits in two making a valley

Jews escape from Jerusalem
through the valley.

...one day known to the Lord
not day or night,
but at evening it will be light.

Jesus said,  There are some standing here
who will not die till they see
the Son of man coming in His Kingdom.
Six days later
He took Peter, James and John
up to a high mountain
and was transfigured before them.
His face shone like the sun
and His garment was white as light.

When you see the abomination,
spoken of by Daniel the Prophet,
flee to the mountains.

144,000 Jews sealed in forehead.

20C - THE JEWS ESCAPING THROUGH THE VALLEY SEE JESUS AND THE ANGELS OF GOD

They shall look upon Me
Whom they have pierced
and mourn.
Zec.12:9-10

Hereafter you will see heaven opened
and the angels of God
ascending and descending
upon the Son of man.
Mat.16:64

20D - 144,000 JEWS ESCAPE TO THE WILDERNESS (Petra) FOR 1260 DAYS (3 1/2 YEARS) SEPARATED TO MOURN FOR REJECTING JESUS (Zec.12:10-14

NOTE:  This escape takes place during the long day over Israel.

Come My people
enter your chambers
till the indignation is past.
Isa. 26:20

The woman (the Jews)
flees to the wilderness (Petra)
for 1260 days.
(years 3 1/2 -- 7 Day of the Lord)
Rev.12:6,14

NOTE: This 3 1/2 years (from year 3 1/2 to year 7 of the Day of the Lord) is called the Day of the Lord's Wrath.  But the wrath of God and the Lamb is not poured out till about the year 6 to 6 1/2 of the Day of the Lord until the end.  The wrath of satan is manifested first.

21  RESURRECTION --- THE DEPARTED SAINTS WHICH GOD BROUGHT WITH HIM ARE REUNITED WITH THEIR RESURRECTED GLORIFIED BODIES  (Still the year 3 1/2 of the Day of the Lord.)

NOTE:  It is day over Israel (that long day), evening night and morning over other parts of the earth.

Though worms destroy this body,
yet in my flesh shall I see God.
Job 19:26

The dead shall live,
my dead body shall arise,
awake and sing,
ye that dwell in the dust.
Isa. 26:19

Arise, shine,
for thy light is come,
and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
Isa.60:1

Graves opened,
bodies of saints who slept arose
and appeared to many.

At the seventh trumpet
the dead will be raised incorruptible.

Awake sleeper,
arise from the dead
and Christ shall shine upon you.

God brings with Him
those who sleep in Jesus,
the dead in Christ rise.

21A - LIVING SAINTS CHANGED IN A MOMENT AND UNITED WITH RETURNED SAINTS  (Year 3 1/2 of the Day of the Lord)

When He shall appear
we shall be like Him!
1 Jn.3:2

There is a natural body
and there is a spiritual body.
1 Cor.15:44

As we have borne the image of the earthy,
we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
1 Co.15:49

We shall all be changed in a moment,
dead raised and living changed.
1 Co.15:51-52

Risen saints and living saints are together.
1 Thess. 4:16-17

NOTE:  Only the change takes place in a moment, not all the events of the rapture.

21B - SAINTS OUT OF DARKNESS INTO LIGHT

My God will light my darkness.
Psa.18:28

Weeping may endure for a night,
but joy comes in the morning.
Psa.30:5

Unto the upright there arises
light in the darkness.
Psa.112:4

You will have a song
as in the night of holy solemnity,
and gladness of heart as when
you go to the mountain of the Lord,
and the Lord will cause
His glorious voice to be heard,
show the lightning of His arm,
the indignation of His anger
and the flame of a devouring fire.
Isa.30:29-30

When I sit in darkness
the Lord will be a light to me...
He will bring me forth
to the light.
Mic.7:8-9

God called us out of darkness
into His marvelous light.
1 Pet.2:9

21C - SAINTS AND HEAVEN AND EARTH REJOICE AT THE COMING OF THE LORD

Heaven, earth, fields and trees
rejoice before the Lord when He comes.
Psa.96:9-13

Behold My servants shall sing
for joy of heart.
Isa.65:13-14

He shall appear to your joy.
Isa.66:5

He shall come
to be glorified in His saintsa.
2 Thess. 1:10

Abide in Him,
have confidence at His coming.
1 Jn. 2:28

Perfect love gives boldness
in the day of judgment.
1 Jn. 4:17
