CITY IN THE SKY - Chapter Twenty Five

SCRIPTURAL INTERPRETATIONS

The things of God are spiritually understood.
1 Co. 2:14

Life more abundantly
John 10:10
A Spirit-filled life of joy and peace.
 

Jesus is exalted far above all rulers
in this age, and in the age to come.
Eph.1:20-21
Jesus arose in a literal,
visible, glorified, spiritual body,
to God's right hand,
far above all rulers,
in this age and the age to come.
 

Whom He justified, He also glorified.
Rom.8:30
Glorified saints live in
God's glorious City in the sky.
Physical people live on earth.
 

Earthly image and heavenly image.
1 Co. 15:49
We bear the earthly image on earth
and we bear the heavenly image in Heaven.
 

He went to a far country
to receive for Himself a kingdom
and to return.
Lke.19:12
Jesus is coming IN His kingdom.
Mat.16:28
The City in the Sky
is the kingdom Jesus went to receive,
and IN which He will return.
 

Now is come the kingdom of God and Christ,
for satan is cast down on the earth.
Rev.12:10-12
When the Kingdom of God and Christ
appears in our sky;
satan will be deposed from his rule in the sky
and put (cast) down on the earth.
 

Note:  Satan was cast out of God's heaven down to the skies over our earth (the prince and power of the air Eph.2:2) and will be cast down onto the earth for 42 months (GREAT Tribulation) after which he will be cast into the bottomless pit and eventually into the lake of fire forever.  Because of his disobedience his fall continues.

Note:  Saints are taken up from the earth to meet the Lord in the air from which we will be taken to God's City in the Sky to dwell forever, made possible through our obedience to Jesus' Redemption.

The kingdom under heaven
will be given to the saints of the Most High
Dan.7:27
The kingdom on earth
will be given to the descendants
of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and David.
 

He shall reign over the house of Jacob
(12 tribes of Israel) forever.
Rev.21:12
Jesus will rule forever
with His Father
and the glorified saints
in the city where the names of
the 12 tribes are on the 12 gates.
