Chapter Twenty Seven
GOD'S PROMISES TO THE JEWISH RACE
The promises are twofold.
1/ Physical - Jewish descendants will
inherit Israel forever.
2/ Spiritual - Messiah will come to
lead all families of earth
to a place of eternal rest.
NOTE: Promises to the seed of
Abraham
The star seed of Abraham are those (Jews and Gentiles) who by
faith in Jesus become spiritual children of God and inherit the heavenly
City of God forever.
The sand seed of Abraham are the physical generations of Jews who
inherit earthly Israel till day and night cease.
God said to Abram (Abraham),
leave your country and your kin
and go to a land I will show you.
And I will make your name great
and bless you and make you a blessing
to all families of the earth.
I will bless those who bless you
and curse those who curse you.
So Abraham went (to Canaan, now Israel.)
Gen.12:1-4
God called Abram, Abraham,
and promised that his seed would inherit Canaan
to everlasting generations
by the covenant of circumcision.
Gen.17:1-14
Abraham was willing to offer his son,
but God substituted a ram and promised,
for Abraham's willing obedience,
to multiply his seed as the stars of the sky
(saints - heirs by faith)
and sand by the sea
(Jews - heirs by flesh).
Gen.22:1-18
God told Isaac his seed would inherit
Canaan
and be as numerous as the stars.
Gen.26:1-4
God promised Canaan to Jacob and his
seed,
to be as the dust of earth in number.
Gen.28:10-15
God named Jacob, Israel,
and the land He gave to Abraham and Isaac,
He then gave to Israel
and his seed after him forever.
Gen.35:9-12
God promised that the seed of Abraham,
Isaac and Israel would multiply
and inherit the land of Canaan forever.
Exo.32:13
I (the Lord) will raise up to them
(Jews)
a Prophet (Jesus) from among their brethren,
like you (Moses) and will put My Words in His mouth,
and He (Jesus) shall speak unto them (Jews)
all that I shall tell Him.
And whoever will not listen to My Words
which He will speak in My Name,
I will require it of him.
Deu.18:18-19
God will bring the children of Israel
out of captivity
into the land of their fathers (Israel)
and they shall possess it.
Deu.30:3-5
O ye seed of Abraham His servant,
ye children of Jacob His chosen.
He is the Lord our God:
His judgments are in the earth.
He has remembered His covenant forever,
the word which He commanded to 1000 generations.
which covenant He made with Abraham,
and His oath to Isaac,
and confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law,
and to Israel for an everlasting covenant, saying,
Unto you will I give the land of Canaan.
Psa.105:6-11
Fear not Jacob,
I will pour My Spirit upon your seed
and My blessing upon your offspring.
Isa.44:1-3
The Redeemer shall come to Zion
and to them that turn from transgression in Jacob,
and this is My covenant with them saith the Lord,
My Spirit that is upon you
and My words which I have put in your mouth,
shall not depart out of your mouth,
nor out of the mouth of your seed,
or your seed's seed, from henceforth and forever.
Isa.59:20-21
If day and night can be stopped,
I will not take David's seed to be rulers
over the seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob;
for I will cause their captivity to return
and have mercy on them.
Jer.33:25-26
God promised Abraham (and Jacob) that
all nations of earth would be blest in his seed.
This seed was Jesus
who was made of the seed of David,
descendant of Abraham according to the flesh.
Jesus died for us on the cross and
was declared to be the Son of God with power
according to the Spirit of Holiness
by His resurrection from the dead;
that we (both Jews and gentiles) who believe
might receive the promised Spirit
and become the spiritual children of God
by faith in Jesus Christ.
