CITY IN THE SKY - Chapter Twenty Eight

GOD'S MYSTERY THE CHURCH

 

This earth was created so that Jesus could obtain for Himself an eternal companion, a group of born again believers, washed from their sins in His precious blood, filled with His Spirit and called out of the world to live with Him in mansions He has prepared.  Jesus calls these saints His Church.  This church is made up of all races and colors, of Jews and Gentiles.  At the last day (just before satan is put on earth) Jesus will resurrect and change His departed and living saints, give them all eternal glorified bodies and translate them to the City in the sky.

Jesus said, I will build My Church
and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Mat.16:18

There is neither Jew nor Greek,
there is neither bond nor free,
there is neither male nor female,
for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Gal.3:28

To Paul and the Apostles was revealed a mystery,
that through Jesus
those who are not Jews receive the same inheritance,
belong to the same body
and have the same gospel promises.
Eph.3:1-6

Paul preached the unsearchable riches of Christ to the non-Jews
so all would see the fellowship (church)
kept secret by God from the beginning of the world,
and that through the church
God's great wisdom would be shown
to the rulers and authorities in the sky.
Eph.3:7-10

Jesus presents to Himself
a glorious holy church,
without spot, wrinkle or blemish.
Eph.5:27

To the church Paul preaches
the mystery hidden for ages
but now revealed to His saints, even the non-Jews.
This revealed truth is that
because Christ now lives in you,
you have the hope of going to glory.
Col.1:24-27

Christ loves the Church, and gave Himself
to sanctify, cleanse and wash it by the Word.
Eph.5:25

The marriage of the Lamb is come
and His wife (the Church) has  made herself ready.
She shall be dressed in fine linen,
which is the righteousness of the saints.
Rev.19:7
