CITY IN THE SKY - Chapter Five
 

ABOUT THAT CITY BUILT BY GOD

NOTE:  This City is always located in the sky, from its creation before the world to eternity.  Twelve is the number of the City of God.

It is Mt. Zion on the sides of the North
the City of the Great King.
Psalm 48:2

It is the Kingdom of the Sky and
the Kingdom of God soon to appear.
Matthew 4:17;  Mark 1:14-15

Only the righteous enter this Kingdom.
Matthew 5:20

It is the Heaven where
our Father in Heaven abides.
Matthew 6:9

It is the Kingdom of our Father,
where the righteous will shine like the sun.
Matthew 13:43

Jesus will return in this Kingdom.
Matthew 16:28

It is the sign of Jesus
which appears in the sky after the darkness.
Matthew 24:29-30

This Heaven does NOT pass away.
Matthew 24:35

Here the Bridegroom is married.
Matthew 25:10

It is the Throne of Jesus' glory.
Matthew 25:31

It is the throne made before the world
and inherited by the spiritual saints.
Matthew 25:34

It is the Father's Kingdom
in which Jesus will drink new wine with His disciples.
Matthew 26:29

It is our Father's house of mansions.
Jesus calls it, 'My Father's House.'
John 14:2

It is the kingdom
where flesh and blood cannot enter.
1 Corinthians 15:50

It is the Jerusalem which is above.
Galatians 4:26

It is the kingdom of Christ and God.
Ephesians 5:5

It is the City with foundations,
looked for by Abraham,
designed and built by God.
Hebrews 11:10

It is the kingdom that cannot be shaken.
Hebrews 12:28

It is God's Throne in the sky.
Revelations 4:2-3

It is God's Temple in the sky.
Revelation 11:19

It is God's Tabernacle in the sky.
Revelation 13:6

It is the Great White Throne
in the sky (2nd heaven)
where God sits
when earth and its sky (1st heaven)
flee from His face.
Revelation 20:11

The new heaven is earth's remade sky.
Revelation 21:1

It is the new Jerusalem.
Revelation 21:2

It is the Bride, the Lamb's wife.
Revelation 21:9

THE CITY WAS MADE BEFORE THE WORLD WAS MADE

Heaven was suspended by an oath forever,
before the world was made.
Enoch 68:24

Jesus said to His sheep,
inherit the kingdom made for you
from earth's foundations.
Matthew 25:34

The word to build it (this city of rest)
was finished from the foundation of the world.
Hebrews 4:3

THE CITY BUILT BY GOD WILL BE ESTABLISHED BY HIM FOREVER IN THE SKY LIKE THE SUN AND THE MOON

Mount Zion on the sides of the north.
Psalm 48:2

God will establish the city forever.
Psalm 48:8

He built the sanctuary like high palaces,
like the earth, to last forever.
Psalm 78:69

David's throne will be established
forever in the sky
like the sun and like the moon.
Psalm 89:36-37

The righteous shall dwell on high.
Isaiah 33:15-16

You will see the King in His beauty,
and behold the land that is very far off.

The Lord builds His chambers in the sky.

The kingdom of heaven (the sky).

A building of God, eternal in the skies.

The temple of God in the sky (seen by men on earth).

 Earth and sky flee from
the face of God on His Throne in the sky.

THE CITY IS BIG, BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL

Beautiful - the joy of the whole earth.
Psalm 48:2

A Throne was set in the sky
with a bright Being upon it,
and a rainbow around it.
Revelation 4:2-3

It is a City of Gold foursquare
a cube 12,000 furlongs (1500) miles on each side.
It's 12 gates are each 1 pearl
with 1 angel and the name of 1 Israeli tribe;
12 different jewels cover
the 12 foundations like a rainbow
and contain the 12 apostles names.
It's tree of life is on both banks of the crystal river
and has one fruit for each of the twelve months.
The streets of gold are
just beyond the trees on each side of the river.
The city has no night for
the Throne and Light and Glory of God and Jesus are
there where the saints live and
reign to the third forever.
Revelation 21:10-----22:5

WHO LIVES IN THE HOLY CITY?

God told Abraham to leave his home.
He obeyed and looked for the city built by God.
Hebrews 11:8-10
Abraham is now in that City!
Matthew 8:11

Those whose names are written
in the Lamb's book of life.
Revelation 21:27

Born of the Spirit
John 3:5

Those who are saved.
Revelation 21:24

The Bride, the Lamb's wife.
Revelation 21:9

Those who do the will of God in Heaven.
Matthew 7:21

We who have believed do enter into rest.
Hebrews 4:3

WITH WHAT BODY DO THEY COME?

Incorruptible
Glorious and Powerful
Spiritual
Heavenly image
Immortal
1 Corinthians 15:35,42,43,44,49,53

Glorified
Romans 8:17, Philippians 3:21

HOW LONG WILL THEY BE THERE?

I will dwell in God's house forever.
Psalm 23:6

I will abide in Thy Tabernacle forever.
Psalm 61:4

When this earth body fails,
we have a better body made by God,
eternal in the skies.
2 Corinthians 5:1

Overcomers will be made
pillars in the Temple of God,
and go no more out.
Revelation 3:12

Saints reign forever in the Holy City.
Revelation 22:1-5

SOME ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE CITY

Overcomers will eat of the tree of life.
Revelation 2:7

Overcomers will eat hidden manna.
Revelation 2:17

Overcomers will be dressed in white and
be presented by name to the Father and His angels.
Revelation 3:5

Overcomers will walk with Jesus in white clothing
and sit with Him in His throne.
Revelation 3:4,21

Saints will sit down
with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
in the kingdom of the sky.
Matthew 8:11

You have been faithful over a few things.
I will make you ruler over many things.
Enter into the joy of your Lord.
Matthew 25:21

I'll not drink of this vine fruit till
I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom.
Matthew 26:29

Those who weep now shall laugh.
Luke 6:21

He is able to present you faultless
before His glorious presence
with exceeding joy.

In Thy presence is fulness of joy;
at Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Saints will be filled and satisfied
with the abundance of God's house.
They shall drink from His river of pleasures.
