INSIDE THE GATES OF
HEAVEN Some years ago a dear elderly gentleman friend of ours came to visit in our home. Then as he was leaving, he expressed his appreciation and, with tears in his eyes, said to our family of seven, "It's difficult to leave; this has been 'a little bit of Heaven to be with you." We were deeply touched and have never forgotten his words, nor have we forgotten to praise the Lord many times for the blessing and encouragement those words brought to our hearts. That seemed to assure us that God was with us, and ever after, we desired to live up to that expression, little knowing what great and wonderful things the Lord had planned for us. Oden had often shared with me the delightful heavenly experiences and insights God gave to him from time to time. As our five children grew, he told them too, the beautiful stories of Jesus and of the place He has gone to prepare for those who love Him. Now as I have helped to prepare the original manuscript for this book, I have been amazed and blessed to find that our son and four daughters have volunteered a 'little bit of Heaven' from their own hearts. God is faithful! What a joy to be His servants! May you, too, be blessed and lifted up into heavenly places with Christ Jesus as you read what God has so graciously made known by His Holy Spirit. Psalm 16:11 -- 'Thou wilt show me the path of life: in Thy presence is fullness of joy; at Thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore.' Jesus said, 'I go to prepare a place for you.'
